SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1 - Depart Australia

Depart from Australia today on your flight to Bangkok via Sydney. On arrival, connect to your onward flight with El Al Israel Airlines bound for Israel.

Day 2 - Tel Aviv

Arrive this morning into Ben Gurion Airport at 0720 where you'll be met and assisted by your guide. Start your tour of the Holy Land at the Neot Kedumim Biblical Reserve and enjoy a "biblical" breakfast. Continue to Jaffa, the oldest port in the world. Drive through Tel Aviv and check in to your hotel. Afternoon is at leisure before an early dinner.

Day 3 - Coastal Plain

Drive north along the Coastal Plain. Stop at Caesarea Maritima to see the harbor city built by Herod the Great. Visit the Carmelite Monastery at the Mukarah, where Elijah smote the false prophets. Visit Megiddo (Armageddon) before continuing to Nazareth Village, a unique reconstruction of a first century village on an actual ancient agricultural site. Continue to our hotel in Tiberias on the shores of the Sea of Galilee

Day 4 - Sea of Galilee

Enjoy a cruise across the Sea of Galilee in a traditional wooden sailing boat, and visit the 'Jesus Boat' museum. Explore Capernaum and see the ancient synagogue where Jesus preached. Visit Tabgha, where the miracle of the Multiplication took place. Ascend to the top of the Mt. of Beatitudes, where you can relive the Sermon on the Mount. Continue north and ascend the Golan Heights, view the Hula Valley from Mitzpe Gadot and hear about Israel's master spy, Eli Cohen. From Mt. Bental, peer deep into Syria and the ghost town of Kuneitra, see the whole of Northern Israel from atop. Visit the former Syrian fortifications, Birkat Ram, and enjoy a walk through Caesarea-Phillippi at Banias Falls.

Day 5 - Jordan Valley

Experience a special ceremony at the Yardenit baptisimal site. Travel south along the Jordan Valley, stopping to explore the ancient city of Beith Shean, a fully excavated Roman/Byzantine city of Scytopolis. Stop for an overview of Jericho. Ascend the mountains to Jerusalem. Say a welcome prayer to Jerusalem from the top of Mount Scopus. Experience prayers at the Western Wall welcoming in the Shabbat.

Day 6 Jerusalem

Start the day with a spectacular view of Jerusalem from Mt. of Olives. Walk down the Palm Sunday Road and visit the Church of all Nations at the Garden of Gethsemane. Onto the Pools of Bethesda and St. Anne's Church, pass through Ecce Homo Arch and the Crypt of Sisters of Sion and on to the Via Dolorosa and visit each Station of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Finish your touring today with a communion at the Garden Tomb. Meet with Malcolm Hedding of the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem.

Day 7 - Jerusalem

Walk on the Temple Mount and experience a spiritual visit to the Western Wall. Continue onto the excavations at the Southern Wall and stand on the steps leading up to the Temple Mount. Walk along the ancient Roman Cardo and visit the Burnt House. Explore Mt. Zion. Visit the Room of the Last Supper and King David's Tomb. See the dungeon where Jesus was imprisoned at the Gallicantu. Onto the New City and visit Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial.
Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 8 - Bethlehem

Enjoy the morning at leisure. In the afternoon travel to Herodium for a visit to King Herod's Palace and Tomb. Onto Bethlehem for a visit to the Shepherds Fields, Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity.

Day 9 - Dead Sea

Descend to the Dead Sea – the lowest place on Earth. Stop and explore the caves of Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls where discovered. Ascend the mighty fortress of Masada via cable car, where the zealots made their last stand against the Roman Army. Enjoy a float on the salty waters of the Dead Sea. Travel into the Negev desert for a camel ride and Bedouin hospitality.

Day 10 - Beersheba

Visit the biblical city of Tel Sheva. Enjoy an overview of the battle of Beersheba. Continue into Beersheba for a visit to the Park of the Australian Soldier and the Commonwealth Cemetery. Stop at the Bell Caves of Beit Guvrin. Continue onto the Ela Valley, site of the famous battle between David and Goliath. Travel through Beith Shemesh where the Ark of the Covenant rested. Enjoy a final farewell early dinner together in Jaffa or Abu Gosh with some time for wondering around. Depart for Ben Gurion Airport for your evening El Al flight to Hong Kong at 2150 before connecting with your Cathay Pacific flight back to Adelaide.

Day 11 - Arrive Australia

Arrive back today at 0945am with wonderful memories of a fantastic trip!
