Arrival
Upon arrival to airport meet our representative and transfer to Tel Aviv.

Friday

Coastal Plain
Start your day with a short walking tour in picturesque alleys of the old, fortified town of Jaffa (Joppa). Drive northwards along the coast to the archaeological ruins of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great. From there we go on to visit Megiddo to see the ancient city inhabited continuously for more than five millennia.  Drive toward Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee.

Saturday

Sea of Galilee
Visit Capernaum, to see the synagogue where Jesus preached and the recent excavations of the House of St. Peter. Continue onto Tabgha, where Jesus multiplied five loaves and two fish. Ascend to the top of the Mt. of Beatitudes, where you can relive the Sermon on the Mount. Ascend the Golan Heights and from Mt. Bental, peer deep into Syria and the ghost town of Kuneitra - See the whole of Northern Israel from atop the Hula Valley.
Overnight: Tiberias

 

Sunday

Lower Galilee
This morning visit the holy sites of Nazareth - See the Basilica of the Annunciation, and visit Mary's Well and the Church of St. Joseph. Visit the wedding church at Cana where Jesus turned water into wine. See the ancient city of Beith Shean, a fully excavated Roman/Byzantine city of Scytopolis. Ascend the mountains to the holy city of Jerusalem.
Overnight: Jerusalem

Monday

Masada and the Dead Sea
Depart Jerusalem via the Inn of the Good Samaritan. Visit the caves of Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Ascend the mighty fortress of Masada - the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Experience a 'float' in the salty waters of the Dead Sea (weather permitting).
Overnight: Jerusalem

 

Tuesday

Jerusalem Old City
Start with a spectacular view of Jerusalem from Mount Scopus, and then onto the Garden of Gethsemane. In the Old City visit the Western Wall and the Temple Mount (subject to security clearance).  Walk the Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross) until the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.  Visit the tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper on Mount Zion.
Overnight: Jerusalem

 

Wednesday

Jerusalem New City
See the famous Dead Sea Scrolls at the Shrine of the Book. View a detailed model of Jerusalem from Herodian times. Experience a moving visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. Explore the quaint village of Ein Karem where John the Baptist was born. Drive by the Knesset (House of Parliament) and the beautiful campus of Hebrew University. Continue to Bethlehem (subject to security clearance) to visit Shepherds Fields, Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity.
Overnight: Jerusalem

Transfer to the airport for departure.

Drive to Sheik Hussein Bridge for border crossing procedures to enter Jordan. Explore Jerash,  the ancient Roman city of the Decapolis. Visit the Citadel and Roman Amphitheater on a panoramic city tour of Amman.

Friday

Kings Way
See the intricate ancient Mosaic map of the Holy Land at Madaba. Visit Mt. Nebo where Moses viewed the promised land before his passing. Explore the remains of the Byzantine Church with a mosaic floor, and from a platform in front of the church enjoy a breathtaking view across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Visit the magnificent ruins of the crusader castle at Shobak.
Overnight: Petra

 

Saturday

Petra
Enjoy a spectacular full day tour exploring the rose-red city of Petra. Enjoy a short horse ride, and then travel on foot through the awesome 'SIQ' valley. Visit the Treasury, and explore hundreds of buildings, tombs, temples, and a 3,000-seat theatre from the first-century AD. After the visit depart for Amman.

Sunday

Departure
Departure transfer to Amman airport or cross the Allenby Bridge for transfer back to Jerusalem or Tel Aviv.
